Meghan is a first generation Jamaican - Canadian actor and writer based in Toronto. She has performed throughout Canada, US, Mexico and the UK.
Some of her favorite projects include: Prodigal (Howland Company/ Crow's Theatre), Controlled Damage (Neptune Theatre/ b current), Calpurnia (Nightwood Theatre/Sulong Theatre), Venus’ Daughter (Obsidian Theatre), In This World (Roseneath Theatre), Family Story (Birdtown and Swanville/ Summerworks) and All Our Happy Days Are Stupid (Harbourfront Theatre/ The Kitchen - NYC). Film/TV: Condor (AT&T), Ghostwriter (Apple TV+) and Odd Squad Mobile Unit (Sinking Ship/PBS).
She has voiced roles for animated series such as; Let's Go Banana's (CBC Kids, 9 Story Media), Kiya and the Kimoja Heroes (eOne, Disney Jr), Max & Ruby (Treehouse) and Pinkalicious & The Peterrific (PBS Kids).
Meghan's play Venus’ Daughter was published by Scirocco Drama in 2022, and was part of The SureFire List 2018 (Playwrights Guild of Canada) as one of the top 23 recommended plays in Canada. She has participated in several notable playwriting residencies such as; Nightwood Theatre, Obsidian Theatre, Diaspora Dialogues, Playwrights Workshop Montreal, Stratford Festival, Myseum of Toronto and Musical Stage Co. Her work has been performed internationally and was included as part of the inaugural 50in50: Writing Black Women Into Existence at the Billie Holiday Theatre (Brooklyn, NY).
With a passion and curiosity for storytelling across mediums, Meghan's goal is to concoct beautifully flawed characters who dare to WANT and LONG for something they could never imagine for themselves. Characters who fail masterfully and win courageously (or not) with an absurdist and comedic lens. Meghan is an alumni of the Reelworld e20 program and BIPOC TV & Film’s Kid’s Television Incubator.
Meghan also co-hosts and produces, Beneath The Ceiba Tree, a podcast about Caribbean folklore from a contemporary diasporic lens.
